Who is Ryan Whyte MAloney?
It all started when…
Ryan Whyte Maloney was raised in Traverse City, Michigan. Growing up on rock 'n roll and country music he developed a strong, diverse love for several genres.
He began playing the guitar, violin, cello and drums at age 9 and eventually sharpened his skills to write songs. At age 16 he recorded his first album and by age 21 he was self-producing and engineering at Frontier Studios in Copemish, MI. He spent years writing and recording original material for his nationally accomplished band, Indulge. Ryan recorded the album, Tomorrow's another Day in 2005.
Feeling like he reached a glass ceiling after 10 years of touring and playing hundreds of shows and festivals around the US, he took a break from touring and began writing his solo material with a focus on his roots in the skill of songwriting.
He then recorded, Where I've Been, a 12 song album produced by Sean O'Dwyer in Las Vegas. Sean is known for being behind the production of albums of bands such as Black Crowes, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Emerson Drive, Blink 182, Sum 41 and Phoenix TX.
Where I've been struck a deal with Touch Tunes and is now available in over 160,000 locations worldwide. It can also be found on iTunes and Amazon.
From 2010 to 2013 Ryan performed across the country, promoting the album & performing radio interviews. He played in many small clubs and honky-tonk bars as well as performed at national festivals for over 250,000 people, all over the United States. Currently his original songs Hillbilly, Michigan Moonlight and Living With No Directions are being aired on country radio stations in Michigan, NV, CO and CA.
In 2014 Ryan appeared on NBC's TV show, The Voice and with his audition song, a cover of Journey’s Lights he accomplished a four-chair turn and found himself on Team Blake where he went through two Battle rounds against Cali Tucker & Kaleigh Glanton. Ryan made it to Team Blake's “Top 5” and recorded four hit singles utilizing The Voice’s UMG Records studio. These singles include covers of Journey’s Lights, Tina Turners What's Love Got To Do With It, Rascal Flatts Easy and Shinedown’s Second Chance. He is utilizing his experience now to record a new CD, Make history remember you, to be released in 2020.
In 2019 Ryan is looking bright into the future and moves to continued success. He is a stapled figure in the Las Vegas music scene performing a staggering 400 shows per year! He plays at a wide range of venues including private/corporate shows, casino showrooms and lounges, wineries and more. He currently tours nationally and internationally.
When not playing live music, Ryan is a full time songwriter, engineer and studio Producer at TRUNORTH Recording Studio. He also provides vocal coaching and creative direction for studio clients. He has written, recorded and produced over 200 songs in the past few years and currently has 33 albums on iTunes, Amazon music, Spotify and every music retail outlet worldwide.
